AI-polished resumes force recruiters to rethink hiring filters

As AI tools become increasingly accessible, recruiters are witnessing a sharp rise in polished, AI-assisted resumes that make it harder to assess a candidate’s actual capabilities through traditional screening methods. The shift is prompting companies to rethink hiring filters and strengthen evaluation mechanisms beyond resumes alone.
Commenting on the trend, our Chief Operating Officer , Pasupathi S, noted, “In 2021, approximately 32.4 per cent of assessed candidates were flagged for suspicious activity, which rose to nearly 45 per cent in 2025. The real challenge today is separating signal from noise, identifying candidates who possess genuine capability, adaptability, and long-term potential in an increasingly automated hiring environment.”
